Edwards Abstract and Title Co. was proud to be a part of this important and informative event. Brownsville Branch Manager Alexandra Torres and Client Relations Specialist Leila Banda joined hundreds of business, civic leaders and residents during the 2026 State of the City Address. Mayor John Cowen Jr. presented “Prosperity with Purpose” on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, offering the community an inside look at the city’s progress and future direction.

The event was held at the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center on Taylor Avenue. Hosted by the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Brownsville, the annual address highlights key achievements from the past year and outlines a vision for the community’s future.

During the presentation, Mayor Cowen focused on sustainable growth, innovation, and shared prosperity. He will also discuss priorities aimed at strengthening economic development and improving the quality of life for residents across Brownsville.
